Two students were arrested in Broward County, Florida for allegedly making threats against Broward County Public Schools before and during the first week of school. A 13-year-old boy was arrested for posting a threat on Snapchat regarding a mass shooting at BCPS officers in Fort Lauderdale, reportedly upset over the new student cellphone policy. The boy was located at his home in Weston and taken into custody. A 13-year-old girl was also arrested for making threats against Cooper City High School on Snapchat. Both students face felony charges for written threats to kill or commit bodily harm, conduct a mass shooting, or an act of terrorism.
