Four-star safety commits to Ole Miss football squad

In a positive turn of events for Ole Miss, four-star safety Cortez Thomas has committed to the Rebels, choosing to stay in-state over rivals Mississippi State. Thomas, ranked as the No. 25 safety in the nation, cited safeties coach Wes Neighbors III as a key factor in his decision. With Thomas joining defensive players Andrew Maddox, Jarcoby Hopson, and Mason Dunn as in-state commits, Ole Miss now has a strong core to build around for the 2025 season and beyond. Head coach Lane Kiffin and his staff have been praised for their success in in-state recruiting, with particular recognition given to Kelvin Bolden, defensive coordinator Pete Golding, and the rest of the defensive staff. While it is still early in the recruitment cycle, Ole Miss fans can be excited about the promising young talent that has committed to the program.
