Delta flight forced to divert to New York after serving passengers spoiled food


A Delta flight from Detroit to Amsterdam was diverted to New York’s Kennedy Airport after passengers were served spoiled food. The redeye flight took off from Detroit at 11 p.m. and landed in New York at 4 a.m. with reports of spoiled food in the Main Cabin in-flight meal service. Emergency medical responders treated 12 passengers, but it was unclear how many ate the spoiled food out of the 277 passengers on the flight. Delta issued an apology to customers for the inconvenience and delay and stated they would investigate the incident.
