Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss football QB, Provides Update on Health Following Offseason Procedure

Jaxson Dart, the quarterback for Ole Miss, revealed at the Manning Passing Academy that the 2023 football season had a “brutal” impact on his body due to his physical style of play. After undergoing an offseason procedure on his lower body, Dart is now feeling healthy and able to participate in offseason conditioning and lifting with his teammates. Coach Lane Kiffin mentioned that Dart’s movement had been limited during spring drills but that he is now in a good spot physically.

Entering his third season as a starter for Ole Miss, Dart is no longer in an open quarterback competition and has solidified his role as the team’s leader. Despite dealing with injuries in the past, Dart is now focused on preparing for the 2024 season and is among the preseason favorites for the Heisman Trophy.

The value of Dart’s experience and longevity as a three-year starter is emphasized by Ole Miss legend Eli Manning, who praises the advantages of knowing the system, developing as a leader, and understanding what needs improvement. Additionally, two Ole Miss track and field athletes, McKenzie Long and Raven Saunders, are heading to the Paris Olympics, bringing further recognition to the university’s athletic program.
